Space Launch Complex 14 (SLC-14)
Overview
Once used for missile testing, SLC-14 is the pad from which John Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth during his historic ride to space in 1962.
While we’ve updated the facility with all the necessities of modern launch, we know we stand on historic land.
We’ve built a world-class launch site featuring a horizontal integration facility (HIF), launch mount for our Nova rocket, umbilical support structure, flame duct and trench, and many, many propellant systems.
